CareMed was launched in 1989 by a travel organization with many years’ experience in the field of international youth exchange. Since then, our company has been managed by insurance professionals and each of our key staff members has had valuable exchange experience abroad.
As a member of WYSE Travel Confederation, WYSE Work Abroad and IAPA, CareMed is "in the know" when it comes to trends and developments in the student exchange industry. Our expertise allows us to adapt our insurance plans to your requirements. They are constantly tailored to new programs, changing visa requirements, instructions imposed by schools/universities and other various demands expressed by parents and host families.
General Responsibilities:
Generate new sales for CareMed within the Youth Travel Market. Assist President of the company to work with underwriters and insurers to provide best possible rates and policy structures for prospective clients with an eye to keeping targeted loss ratios in check. This should be done in an equitable manner for all parties involved: client, CareMed and Insurer. Provide high-level service to existing clients on an ongoing basis.
Duties:
Generate new business by developing leads for potential sales through networking, referrals and attending selected conferences. Utilize resources within AIFS, specifically Database Marketing for lead development.
1. Coordinate timely renewals of existing clients with underwriters to ensure proper rate and policy structure.
2. Train with existing sales staff to learn process for presenting proposals and making presentations to prospective clients. Key points include how to close the sale and implement plans.
3. Develop skills necessary to respond to Request for Proposals (RFP) from exchange programs seeking quotes for their students and program participants. Calculate appropriate pricing and policy offerings. Send out agreements with policy offerings to prospective clients.
4. Work with President to analyze and report on detailed claim loss data.
5. Review losses against business/program types to determine best possible markets for growth for CareMed. Provide suggested benefit alternatives and methods to improve claim losses for programs types not performing to target.
6. Seek out and analyze trends in the marketplace.
7. Perform periodic competitor analysis to determine new trends in the market, pricing comparison and policy review.
8. Travel required to attend selected conference (WYSTC, ICEF etc) and to provide client presentations/renewal meetings.
9. Provide onboarding for new clients to include set up of policies, training manual Care System users and training presentation.
Requirements to fulfill position:
Candidate should possess strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills and be very self-motivated. Some knowledge of the international education market and experience in the insurance industry are helpful. Experience with selling and marketing software such as HubSpot.
Education:
University Degree.
Experience: 2 – 3 years of business experience – sales experience a plus but not required.
